OAK GROVE, Ore. — A Portland man has been indicted on multiple felony charges after the tracking signal from a stolen iPad led Clackamas County deputies directly to his apartment complex, authorities reported.
Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputies responded on Saturday, August 1, 2026, to an apartment complex in the 2300 block of SE Courtney Avenue in unincorporated Oak Grove after a homeowner reported his stolen iPad was pinging at the location.
The victim reported that he had left his residence along the 12300 block of SW Clara Lane in Portland on July 31. While away, home security cameras captured an intruder disguised in a UPS vest and black face covering ransacking the house.
