BATTLE GROUND, WA – A brush fire in Clark County sparked evacuations Monday.
The Hidden Meadows Fire broke out around 11am near S-R 503, burning 12 acres in the first few hours. Initially, around 250 people were under Level 3-Go Now evacuations. Crews made significant progress and evacuation orders were lowered at around 6 p.m.
“(There were) nearly 100 firefighters on scene from just about every agency in Clark County,” Tom Aston with Clark County Fire District 10 said. “In addition to that, we had a strike team of brush engines from Cowlitz County.”…
