Man accused of holding woman captive at his Vancouver apartment for 4 days

VANCOUVER Wash. (KPTV) – A 31-year-old Vancouver man appeared in Clark County court on Friday after the sheriff’s office said he held a woman captive for four days.

Court documents said Nathanial Sylvester beat and strangled a woman in his apartment on Northeast 18th Avenue off 78th Street.

The sheriff’s office said the victim eventually escaped by jumping from a second-story window and found refuge at a Goodwill store about a quarter mile away…
