PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland has been recognized among the leading foodie cities in the nation.
Yelp and Lyft named the Rose City the 13th-best destination for foodies in the U.S. New Orleans, Charleston, S.C. and San Diego topped the ranking, with the restaurant-reviewing platform noting that the South was the most represented — with 40% of the top 20 cities found in the region.

But the West Coast shined on the list as well.
“Five West Coast metros, including three in California alone, confirm that the Pacific Coast continues to dominate in dining enthusiasm,” Yelp said. “In California, this trend is true for both locals and tourists — Lyft data suggests that tourists dominate the Napa and San Luis Obispo food scene while locals are more present at restaurants in Fresno, Stockton, and Vallejo.”…
