Two intersections along Cornell Road in Hillsboro are slated for safety upgrades, including a new traffic signal and changes to how drivers access 17th Avenue.
The project will make improvements where Cornell Road meets 17th and 21st avenues — two intersections where officials say turning conflicts and limited pedestrian visibility create challenges for people walking, biking and driving, according to the Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation.
An online open house detailing the project is open through Monday, Sept. 14, giving residents a chance to review plans and submit feedback before design work is completed…
