Portland Mercado prepares for reopening years after devastating fire

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – When the Portland Mercado burned in 2024, the city’s Mt. Scott-Arleta neighborhood didn’t just lose a spot to eat, but community also lost a cultural hub.

Since then, the rebuild has faced challenges, but in just a few months, the cultural hub will rise from the ashes once again.
