Former Portland area businessmen sentenced in $18M real estate investment scheme

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two Oregon men will serve prison time after being convicted of an $18 million real estate scheme.

Federal court documents show Anthony Matic was sentenced to 33 months in prison and three years of supervised release on Thursday, while Robert Christensen was sentenced to 63 months behind bars and three years of supervised release.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon originally announced that Sherwood resident Christensen and Damascus resident Matic were both indicted on 21 counts, including wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering, in August 2024…
