At least 1 household displaced after North Portland fire

PORTLAND, Oregon — At least one household was displaced after a fire late Thursday afternoon in North Portland.

Portland Fire & Rescue was on the scene in the University Park neighborhood, in the 6500 block of North Yale Street, around 4:39 p.m. The agency said via X, formerly known as Twitter, that a fire from a shed spread to a home, then to a second home.

Two fire engines performed an offensive fire attack, with two homes and the shed on fire, PF&R said, adding that crews quickly went to work and minimized the damages. The fire was extinguished around 6:30 p.m…
