Owner of Paris Lounge speaks out after shooting forces club to temporarily close

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — An elected Cranston city councilman and owner of a Providence lounge is speaking out after a weekend shooting forced the city to temporarily shut his business down.

The Providence Board of Licenses ordered a 72-hour emergency closure for Paris Bistro & Lounge on Smith Street after a Sunday night fight spilled from the rear patio into a side alley, ending in gunfire. City officials confirmed the business did not have permits for that outdoor area.
