New owner sees bright future for Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island amid vandalism, decay

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WJAR) — The former Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island has been sitting, empty and blighted for years. Room after room of the 600,000-square-foot building in Pawtucket tells the same story: damage, decay and neglect.

Vandals come in through a fence to leave their mark or steal copper.
