NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — North Providence is now the only municipality in Rhode Island with brand new elementary schools, according to the town.
State and education leaders gathered Wednesday as North Providence school officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Dr. Joseph A. Whelan Elementary School and Woodhaven Elementary School.
