PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — More pre-K-8 school facilities are being proposed in Providence.
Providence Public Schools Superintendent Javier Montañez is bringing two proposals to the city’s school board on Wednesday, which he said will also build on the district’s goal of putting 100% of students in new or like-new buildings by 2030.
“When we first started this work, there were only 5% of our students who were in a new building,” Montañez said. “Now we have over 50% of our students who are new or like-new facilities.”
