RI House passes legislation for statewide anti-hazing policy

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The Rhode Island House approved new legislation Thursday that would create a statewide anti-hazing policy at all public schools.

The bill, introduced by state Rep. Joseph McNamara, would have the R.I. Department of Education and the R.I. Interscholastic League work together to “establish zero tolerance for hazing and ensure discipline that is transparent and consistent.”
