A Wake County judge has signed off on a deal ending a lawsuit over autism services provided through North Carolina’s Medicaid program.
Families sued the state Department of Health and Human Services in 2025. The plaintiffs challenged the decision from Gov. Josh Stein’s administration to cut reimbursement rates for services known as research-based behavioral health treatments, including applied behavioral analysis.
