Second arrest made in shots fired incident at Raleigh’s Crabtree Valley Mall

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The Raleigh Police Department said a second person has been arrested in a shots fired incident at Crabtree Valley Mall Saturday afternoon.

According to police, 22-year-old Jamarion Quaben Burton was taken into custody and charged with felony discharging a weapon into occupied property.

Another man, 24-year-old Jaquez Anthony Brown, was arrested Saturday after the shooting. Brown had his first court appearance in Wake County on Monday afternoon and is also facing a felony charge of discharging a weapon into occupied property

The incident took place around 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Raleigh police officers responded to a parking deck outside Crabtree Valley Mall at 4325 Glenwood Avenue for “multiple calls of shots being fired”.

No one was injured, but police found shell cases and several vehicles damaged by gunfire.
