RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – A Red Flag Warning is set to go into effect Friday afternoon for northern Nevada and portions of northeastern California, the National Weather Service announced.
The warning takes effect at 2 p.m. and expires at 9 p.m. The warning area spans from north of Cedarville to the South Lake Tahoe area.
What’s driving the warning
The National Weather Service says wind gusts up to 35 mph are expected, with humidity levels between 7% and 15% across the region.
