Brian Linford has been named director of transportation for the Carson City School District, according to a news release.
Linford replaces Cheri Fletcher, who served as director for nearly a dozen years. Linford brings more than 25 years of experience in transportation, maintenance, repair, logistics and personnel management, the release said. He is also a logistician in the management of complex vehicle fleet operations.
Linford will oversee all district transportation operations, including student transportation services, fleet management, driver training, safety compliance and route planning. The district transports thousands of students throughout Carson City each school day…
