Frontrunner in Reno Mayoral Race Kate Marshall Has More Money On Hand as November Campaign Looms Ahead

The latest fundraising numbers are in in the Reno mayoral race, and these show favorite Kate Marshall has more money in her coffers at this point, even though she had less money coming in than her challenger Kathleen Taylor.

Marshall has more individual donations, union backing and money from different PACs to Taylor’s contributions from developers, builders and contractors, while both spent heavily on political strategy groups based in the Washington D.C. area and elsewhere.

Marshall got 44.85% of the vote in the June primary to Taylor’s 18.98%, meaning the former lieutenant governor needs marginal support from the Eddie Lorton and Devon Reese camps, as well as from those who didn’t vote in the primary, which is highly likely to push her to victory come November…
