SF DA charges alleged kitten killer with animal torture

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A 33-year-old man who allegedly tortured a kitten to death earlier this month in San Francisco was formally charged with multiple felonies, District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced Friday.

William Ohlson, a resident of Reno, Nev., was charged with felony killing, maiming or abusing an animal; felony torturing or cruelly beating or cruelly killing an animal; and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.

The alleged incident occurred around 2 a.m. on July 1. The San Francisco Police Department said Ohlson walked into the ATM vestibule of a bank in the 1800 block of Market Street with a small kitten and “proceeded to violently torture the animal to death.”…
