Reno, NEV — A story that started out when neighbors reached out about a possible fire concern in their Sun Valley neighborhood continues to generate interest from viewers and those in charge. After Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue inspected several pallet businesses they found stacks of pallets which exceeded allowable heights and some pallets stacked directly underneath power lines, both situations are considered fire hazards.
Now Washoe County Code Enforcement is getting involved. Code Enforcement officers have issued warnings to two different pallet companies citing business license violations and outdoor storage violations. The companies are involved are Pallet Pro and Apex Pallets. County officials say there are five different properties involved.
Warnings have been issues and the companies could incur fines if the issues are not addressed. We’ll follow up as both Code Enforcement and Truckee Meadows Fire continue to work to get the companies involved to comply with fire safety and business licenser rules…
