RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – A project to completely rebuild parts of Arrowcreek and Wedge Parkway is finished, but the road rehabilitation doesn’t just include new pavement – it also makes the corridors much safer for people who walk and bike. If you’ve driven through the area in the past year, you likely noticed cracked pavement, rough patches and roads that were in need of repair.
“So, both Arrowcreek and Wedge were in dire need of some roadway improvements. So, we had been performing preventative maintenance over the years but it was in dire need, so we were able to reconstruct the roadway,” said Amanda Callegari, RTC Engineering Manager.
Now, both corridors have seen a complete rebuild. But this project goes beyond just smoother pavement for drivers…
