At Love’s Public Kitchen Mike Lindsey, co-owner of Lindsey Food Group (LFG), wanted a more approachable menu. The inspiration came from his wife and LFG co-owner Kim Love-Lindsey who is from Southern California. After her father Robert Love beat his battle with cancer the couple honored him with the restaurant.
“In California they love comfort food and a lot of people don’t know that,” Lindsey says. “It’s the freedom of being able to pop in and get a seat if you come on time.”
Love’s Public Kitchen is the seventh restaurant currently under the LFG umbrella. Located in the Arts District, it’s housed in the former Lillie Pearl building across from Buttermilk & Honey and down the block from The Foundation, both LFG eateries. The Arts District is Lindsey’s second home, and he says it’s the perfect location for his brood of restaurants…
