RIC revenues exceed $80 million as airport sets all-time annual passenger record

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond International Airport (RIC) has generated over $80 million in revenues, exceeding the fiscal year 2026 budget by roughly 10%, as it also set an all-time annual passenger record.

According to a recent monthly report from a Capital Region Airport Commission meeting, the airport saw nearly $80.4 million in revenues last month, about 10.2% or $7.4 million over budget. June’s operating revenues totaled $6.5 million, exceeding projections by $100,000, or 2.1%, officials said.

The Capital Region Airport Commission, which consists of 14 commissioners from Richmond, Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico, owns and operates RIC. The airport’s administrative authority meets once a month to plan and make fiscal decisions…
