The McLean’s Breakfast Club: A Virginia man, his grandson and 17 years of memories

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — For 17 years, two seats at McLean’s Restaurant in Richmond have been filled by two men with a decades-old age gap and an inseparable bond.

“I don’t have a name — I’m Marshall’s grandpa,” said grandfather Steve Knox. “We walk in the door and it’s just like Norm on the old TV show ‘Cheers.’”

Knox and his grandson Marshall Crocker have shared a weekly tradition of breakfast at McLean’s Restaurant, calling themselves “The Tuesday Breakfast Club.” Knox estimates the two have eaten 4,000 McLean’s eggs over the years…
