Several Henrico businesses affected by shopping center fire, considered ‘quite an extensive loss’

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A shopping center fire in Henrico County has affected several different businesses within the building, according to the Henrico County Division of Fire.

Canterbury Green Neighborhood Shopping Center, located at 10615 Patterson Ave, caught fire around 10 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22. The fire damaged multiple businesses, causing “quite an extensive loss,” according to fire officials.

Most of the tenants within this shopping center are local, small businesses. There are at least six tenants total.

The Henrico County Division of Fire is still contacting the businesses affected as of Tuesday morning. No one was injured in the fire.

Multiple business owners have confirmed that their properties were damaged.

“Our whole space is a loss, and we’re devastated by the news,” said Luna Aesthetics and Spa owner Chelsea Martin in the press release. “As you know, we put our hearts and souls into creating a serene space where our patients and clients could feel safe and taken care of.”
