A 61-year-old man has been arrested and charged with intentionally setting a brush fire in the Inland Empire over the weekend, authorities say.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday that deputies from the Barstow Station, along with San Bernardino County Fire Department units, were dispatched to the area of Westridge Street and Tami Road in a community called Harvard, which lies roughly 10 miles east of Yermo and 22 miles east of Barstow, around 12:40 p.m. Sunday on reports of a multi-acre brush fire.
