Triplets from ‘ultra-rare’ pregnancy born in Southern California

A young mother in east San Diego County has something unique to celebrate this Mother’s Day after recently giving birth to triplets after what’s being called an “ultra-rare” pregnancy.

Mikayla Toney, 20, and her fiancée Blake Hertz welcomed daughters Hazel, Sutton and Everett at Scripps La Jolla on Jan. 29.
