A CITY that reportedly struggles to reel in tourists has issued a ban on dollar stores in hopes to open up space for high-end retailers.
City leaders said the five dollar stores they already have are more than enough, and are looking to keep major chains like Dollar Tree from breaking more ground as they look to increase tourism.
Desert Hot Springs, a city located in Riverside County, California, has trouble not only bringing in tourists visiting Coachella Valley, but also major retailers and restaurants, according to the Desert Sun.
