A 3-month-old boy was taken from a Southern California neighborhood Friday afternoon, triggering an Amber Alert that put millions of residents on immediate notice. Two hours later, he was safe.
Cayden Ramey was abducted near Hampden Terrace and Sherwood Avenue in Alhambra at around 5:25 p.m. local time, the California Highway Patrol confirmed. The CHP and the Alhambra Police Department jointly activated an Amber Alert, pushing urgent notifications to smartphones, television broadcasts, and electronic highway signs across the state. Just before 7:25 p.m., Alhambra police confirmed the infant had been recovered safely.
The incident remains under active investigation. Authorities had not confirmed whether a suspect was in custody as of Friday night, and no additional details about the circumstances surrounding the abduction had been released.
