VIRGINIA – The average price of gasoline has risen slightly over the last week, with GasBuddy reporting a 1.9-cent increase in Roanoke.
After surveying 155 stations in the Star City, GasBuddy found that prices are 33.4 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and 90.6 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. Nationwide, gas prices have seen a slight decrease, falling 0.8 cents per gallon in the last week and averaging $4.05/g.
In Virginia, the average price for a gallon of regular gas is $3.91 as of Aug. 4, according to AAA. Premium averages $4.78 per gallon, while diesel averages $5.32 per gallon. By comparison, last year’s average for regular gasoline was $3.08 per gallon…
