ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – A shortage of sports officials is forcing schools and organizations to adapt as fewer people are willing to take on the job, according to three officiating commissioners who cover a range of sports in the area.
“This is a national problem… it’s all over the whole country. And it’s in pretty serious shape,” said Steve Fleshman, officials commissioner.
