Suspect pleads guilty to setting Danville councilman on fire

DALEVILLE, Va. (WSET) — There’s a new update in the burn attack case involving Danville City Councilman Lee Vogler and the suspect, Shotsie Buck-Hayes.

On Thursday, Buck-Hayes pleaded guilty to aggravated malicious wounding and attempted first-degree murder. About two weeks ago, he had pleaded not guilty, but in his hearing on April 16, he changed his plea to guilty.
