ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The Taubman Museum of Art is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its permanent collection this entire year. Just this week, it welcomed its newest art piece, a mural created by a world-renowned artist. She calls it “Intersecting Terrain.”
The museum chose Mokha Laget for the honor; through her geometric style, she honors the building and the area around it through bright and colorful shapes.
“To see what happened to the building, to the city at different times of day, and I was fortunate enough to go to Roanoke Star, where I could really see the landscape, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and understand part of Randall Stout’s vision in terms of incorporating those beautiful curves that marry the landscape,” said Laget…
