Gov. Spanberger signs bipartisan student bills in Roanoke on 100th day

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Governor Spanberger is set to make a stop in the Star City to sign a dozen bipartisan bills for the success of the next generation of Virginian students.

The event is to honor Spanberger’s 100th day in office. State, local and education leaders will be by her side to expand economic opportunities in the Roanoke region.

On Monday, April 27, the governor will sign legislation to expand career development programs for high school students. She will also sign legislation to increase the number of qualified instructors for Career and Technical Education courses and a bill to reduce youth violence by making the Roanoke Community Builders Pilot Program permanent. This proposal is known as the “Roanoke Workforce Development” bill.
