Rocky Mount looks to build outlet for neighborhood often trapped by train

ROCKY MOUNT, Va. (WDBJ) – People in the Highland Hills neighborhood in Rocky Mount were stuck behind a stopped train for over 20 minutes earlier this week.

The neighborhood has only one entrance and exit, and residents must cross a railroad crossing on Diamond Avenue. When trains sit still on this section of the tracks, it can cause major issues.
