ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – April is World Autism Acceptance Month, and the Greater Roanoke Workforce Development Board is focusing on services that support autistic individuals in the business world.
Toni McLawhorn with the Greater Roanoke Workforce Development Board said the organization works with state partners to connect employers with qualified workers.
“One of the partners we engage with on many occasions is DARS – the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services,” McLawhorn said. “Their mission is to improve the employment, quality of life, security, and independence of older Virginians, as well as for Virginians with disabilities, and their families.”…
