Rocky Mount mayor says former legal client impersonated officer, made threats

ROCKY MOUNT, Va. (WSET) — The mayor of Rocky Mount is safe after he said a man walked into his private law office and made a series of direct threats.

Mayor Holland Perdue was not in the office at the time, but he told ABC13 that the incident happened around 1:45 p.m. on Thursday. Perdue said a man entered the law office with a handgun and handcuffs, claiming he was with the U.S. Marshal’s Office.
