ROCKY MOUNT, Va. (WFXR) – Holland Purdue doubles as Rocky Mount’s mayor and a lawyer. That is until he was reportedly accused of deceitful and dishonest behavior during a civil court case two years ago, a panel on the Virginia State Bar recommended that his law license be suspended for 36 months.
Rocky Mount residents still have faith in Mayor Perdue, despite law license suspension
Perdue found himself in a scary situation on Thursday, April 30, when an armed individual, posing as a police officer, showed up at the mayor’s office to make threats against him and his team. Perdue says Rocky Mount Police responded quickly and is now investigating the situation.
