RPD says argument led up to deadly shooting on East Main Street, release name of victim

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police say an argument led up to the deadly shooting of a 19-year-old man on East Main Street on Sunday, June 14.

Police identified the victim as Martell Calliens of Rochester. Investigators say he got into an argument with a person on the sidewalk, who pulled out a handgun and shot Calliens around 2:45 p.m.

Officers found Calliens on East Main Street, between Federal and Sidney streets, with at least one upper-body gunshot wound. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and died about four hours after the shooting…
