Happening Wednesday: Food Truck Rodeo, Concerts by the Shore, and jazz fest

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Here’s your guide to what’s happening around the Rochester area on Wednesday. You can see more upcoming events in our community calendar.

Food Truck Rodeo

Food trucks and live music are coming to the Rochester Public Market on Wednesday for the third Food Truck Rodeo of the season. It runs from 5 to 9 p.m.

Food Truck Rodeo takes place on the last Wednesday of each month through September. Here’s the music lineup for the rest of the season:

  • June 24: Music by Junkyard Field Trip
  • July 29: Music by Miller & Other Sinners
  • Aug. 26: Music by Earthtones
  • Sept. 30: Music by Mr. Heartache

Concerts by the Shore

The 40th season of Concerts by the Shore continues on Wednesday with a performance from Celtic artist Linda Rutherford & Celtic Fire. The free concert series takes place at the pavilion in Ontario Beach Park and kicked off last week.

There will be a different concert every Wednesday through Aug. 26. Each one starts at 7 p.m., except for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, which starts at 7:30 p.m. Parking is available at the beach. Food vendors will be there. Here’s the schedule for the rest of the concert series:

  • June 24: Linda Rutherford & Celtic Fire (Celtic music)
  • July 1: Atlas (dance music)
  • July 8: Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra
  • July 15: La Nueva Secuencia (Latin music)
  • July 22: The Real News (modern hits and classic rock)
  • July 29: Ignite Reggae (reggae music)
  • Aug. 5: Indigo Breeze (jazz music)
  • Aug. 12: The Dukes (60s and 70s R&B)
  • Aug. 19: Allegro (party band)
  • Aug. 26: The Uptown Groove (hits through the ages)
