United Way awards various nonprofits more than $1M to help with funding cuts and rising needs

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes awarded more than $1 million to 17 nonprofits through a recent grant initiative.

The “Community Responsiveness Fund” was launched in March to provide support for nonprofits facing increased demand and changes in public funding.
