Rochester, N.Y. — A fire that destroyed much of a pallet factory on the city’s west side is being investigated as arson, the Rochester Police Department announced Friday.
The fire broke out shortly after 11 p.m. June 7 at Pallet Express on Lyell Avenue near Glide Street and spread to a fifth alarm quickly.
Lt. Howard Villegas from the Rochester Fire Department said the building’s sprinkler system was unable to contain the fire, which burned about 75 percent of the structure. No one was inside and no injuries were reported…
