I am so incredibly sad to hear that Lenny, the famous cat in Downtown Rockford, has passed away.
For years, I loved visiting Lenny every day when I was downtown, passing by The Crow Bar on South Main Street. So many people knew Lenny. They’d stop to give him pets through the glass window where he loved to sunbathe, people-watch, and soak up all the attention.

He was a little downtown celebrity!
I passed by today, and his nose prints were still on the glass.
His “Hello! My name is Lenny” sign was still hanging in the window…
