Oregon man arrested after hit-and-run involving Amazon delivery vehicle in Byron

BYRON, Ill. (WTVO) – An Oregon man has been arrested for a hit and run involving an Amazon delivery vehicle, police reported.

According to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, Trey Woolsey, 24, was piloting a black 2018 Chrysler 300 southbound on Route 2 when he attempted to pass a 2026 Rivian Amazon delivery vehicle. In doing so, Woolsey hit the left corner of the Rivian with the passenger side of the Chrysler, police said.

Woolsey allegedly left the scene with significant damage to his car, which was spotted by a Byron police officer. Woolsey was arrested and charged with improper passing, failure to reduce speed, and failure to remain at the scene of a vehicle damage accident…
