ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – An annual truck driving competition Saturday showcased some of the region’s most talented drivers and put their skills to the test.
More than 60 drivers showed up May 9 for the 40th Annual Professional Truck Driving Competition in Rockford. Rock River Valley Traffic Club puts on the event each year at Maggio’s Truck Center, 4752 Baxter Road.
Participants competed in a series of challenges designed to evaluate their knowledge, precision and commitment to safety. Out of the 62 drivers competing, 27 of them were rookies.
