(FOX40.COM) — A homicide investigation is underway at a state prison in Folsom after an inmate was found dead on Tuesday, officials said.
At around 2p.m., staff at California State Prison, Sacramento, found inmate Walter Badelle unconscious inside his cell. Despite life-saving measure, he was pronounced dead at 2:51 p.m.
Badelle’s cellmate, Jonathan Blackwell, was placed in handcuffs and moved to a restricted cell pending an investigation by prison officials and the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said…
