Taylor Louderman shines in ‘South Pacific’ at The Muny

BOURBON, Mo. – Singer and actress Taylor Louderman is starring in “Rogers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific” at The Muny in Forest Park. The performance runs through Sunday night.

Louderman’s journey to the main stage at The Muny is supported by her family and rooted in her small-town origins. Bourbon, Mo., her hometown, has a population of 1,600 residents and is located along Route 66, recognized for its 1925 water tower. Louderman described how her background influenced her career path.

“Being from a small town I didn’t see anyone else doing this,” Louderman said. “We didn’t see anyone doing this. We didn’t know how you got there. So the Muny made a huge difference for me.”…
