ST. LOUIS – More than a year after a Springfield, Missouri, teenager was killed during a confrontation on Washington Avenue, the family of 16-year-old Daniel Stahl says they are disappointed with a new plea deal given to their loved one’s killer.
George McDonald, 27, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death in connection with the June 15, 2025, incident. As part of a plea agreement, he received a 15-year suspended sentence and five years of probation, meaning he may never serve time in prison as long as he complies with the probation.
