Charges filed in killing of Ferguson mother of five

CLAYTON, Mo. – A Ferguson man is scheduled to appear in court this week for a gas station shooting that claimed the life of a mother of a five.

Last Thursday, Ferguson Police announced they’d made an arrest in the fatal shooting and promised a news conference on Monday, Aug. 3, to provide an update on the investigation. On Sunday, FOX 2 News learned the suspect’s name and the charges he’s facing.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged Marcus Evans with second-degree murder, first-degree assault, and two counts of armed criminal action. Evans remains jailed on a $2 million cash-only bond…
