ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Friends of a 40-year-old woman killed in a murder-suicide last weekend are collecting donations and resources to support the five children she left behind.
Danielle Rivera was found dead with gunshot wounds in a car parked on Delano Drive in Cahokia Heights on Saturday, August 8 at around 11:45 p.m. Cahokia Heights police tell First Alert 4 that they believe 30-year-old Xavier Harrison shot Rivera before shooting himself. Police said the incident stemmed from a domestic violence situation, as the two were previously in a relationship.
Cahokia Heights Police Chief Thomas Trice told First Alert 4 that family members reported that Harrison asked Rivera to pick him up and drive him to the location. They mentioned that a minor was also recovered from the scene…
